Personal History (abbreviated)

I grew up in a small, woodsy town in Massachusetts. I was a sweet, smart, nerdy kid who loved understanding how things worked. People intimidated me, so I retreated into abstract ideas and computers, which seemed safer. I grew up, studied computer science at Brown University, and moved out to San Francisco after graduating from college.

While living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I matured some more and rediscovered what I really loved: people and community. I joined various communities, created deep friendships, and started developing as a more full human being. I left the corporate world for a while to take off and backpack around the world, traveling aimlessly and exploring different continents for 15 months. I worked at a castle in France, lived on a sailboat in Fiji, and went bungy-jumping in New Zealand.

Upon my return, I followed what excited me, and learned more and more skills around working with people, exploring their emotions and subconscious, and supporting them in having lives that they loved. This called to me more deeply than computers ever did. I spent several years taking and leading workshops, developing my skills and intuition, and discovering deeper and deeper levels of myself.  What started as a personal journey turned into an amazing set of skills to contribute to other people, and clarity in my desire to do so.

The work I do with other people is a culmination of my journey so far.
